Independent schools may hire both certified teachers and teachers with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Elementary teaching requires deep understanding of child development, as well as knowledge of how to guide students through the most foundational work in mathematics, writing, and reading. It is truly a science and an art, and it takes years to master.
We seek to hire a Lead Teacher with 5+ years of experience to establish the culture of Arrowleaf School. As the school grows, we will add Associate Teachers to keep a ratio of approximately 1 teacher for every 10 students. Every school also needs a list of reliable and caring substitute teachers, so our teachers can use their paid sick days and personal days without worrying about their students. Amazing substitute teachers keep our regular teachers refreshed and the culture positive.
We are also hiring for two other very important roles: Business Manager and Director of Institutional Advancement. These two part-time positions could be combined into one full-time position for the right candidate.
